Transport Trainee

Transport is overall responsible for budgeting, planning, and carrying out all transport & customs related operations using our already proven processes and systems or participating in developing new.

The department has the full responsibility in the region for the transportation of all required oversize, heavy-lift, general cargo transportations and vessel transport.

The role will be positioned in the Quote/Bid/Plan department. This department has the responsibility to plan the transport of oversized heavy-lift and general transport components and to budget onto our new construction sites within the MED locations (South-Europe, Middle East & Africa).

Responsabilities

Budgeting support and preparation of scope of work for Procurement requests toward carriers and shipowners.
Partial support for enabling a Master Rate Sheet with Strategic Partners along with Regional Procurement.
Maintenance of master data transport related fields in our system, ensuring data quality and data clean up.
Ensure plan alignment, feedback and communication to relevant stakeholders and coordinate with them in case of plan changes, delays, or damages.
Monitor and report transport risks
Investigate and support problem-solving of delivery and transport quality issues.

Qualifications

We are looking for motivated students who are about to get their Bachelor´s or equivalent degree in Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics
Educational background within relevant areas (e.g. Logistics, Supply Chain Development, Operations Planning)
Good understanding of IT with a solid knowledge of ERP systems (preferable SAP) and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Competencies in process, tools, and systems development & implementation, key account management and partnership management would be beneficial
High verbal and written communication skills in English is required; any other language used in MED region (Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, Greek, Arabic, Turkish) will be considered
High level of experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Additional Information

This position is an internship based in Madrid
